Special Risk Insurance Consortium
(Konsursium Asuransi Risiko Khusus)

Tugu Re has been appointed as the Administrator of the Special Risk Insurance Consortium (SRIC) since 1st of July 1999, SRIC was formerly administered by PT. Reasuransi Internasional Indonesia.
SRIC was formed at 15th of February 1979 to handle pasar risk which is known as one of the undesirable risks in insurance industry. The reason to form SRIC is caused by difficulties of Insurers to get reinsurance cover of pasar risk individually, most of reinsurers reject to give their cover due to very bad loss experiences in term of size and frequency.

Through its experience of more than 7 years, Tugu Re as SRIC’s Administrator has proved that undesirable risk like pasar can be managed well, up to now all SRIC’s participants which are insurance and reinsurance companies have gotten the benefit of underwriting and non underwriting surplus year by year.
